Maintenance & Vehicle History
This Jimmy has 162,892 miles and was originally in Anchorage, Alaska, before moving to Idaho, according to the Carfax. The Carfax reportedly shows no accident history. Recent work includes repairing the oil gauge, replacing the oil sending unit and muffler, replacing the front and rear pinion seals, replacing the rear tailgate window cable and installing four new tires. The truck also received rust repairs to the inner rockers, cab braces and rear body tail pan brace. The seller drove approximately 10 miles during testing and reports that it drives great, with good steering and a comfortable ride. The repaint is described as an average-quality repaint with some dirt nibs, but it has a nice shine. The interior is in nice shape with the seats, carpets and door panels in good condition with no major issues, and the SLE-specific rear cargo panels remain in place. This 1990 Jimmy SLE offers combination that makes these square-body-era SUVs so useful: a fuel-injected V8, 4x4 capability, overdrive automatic transmission and a comfortable interior. It has some honest cosmetic imperfections, but the recent mechanical work and solid driving characteristics make it a practical example of a classic GMC utility vehicle.
❤️ From the Seller
“This 1990 Jimmy is a nice driver quality truck. It is equipped with the 5.7 fuel injected engine, 700 R4 overdrive transmission , AC, power steering and brakes. Still equipped with factory exhaust with catalytic converter. We fixed oil gauge, replaced muffler, replaced oil sending unit, replaced front & rear pinion seals, replaced rear tailgate window cable and put on 4 new tires. This will make a good daily driver as in very good mechanical condition. The body has had a repaint and it looks good and average repaint. It does have some dirt nibs in it but has a nice shine and great color combination. Underneath we had to do some rust repair with some inner rockers, cab braces and rear body tail pan brace. The interior is in nice shape with no major issues. Seats are in good shape as well as carpet and door panels. It has the SLE package so rear cargo panels. It looks mostly original. According to the Carfax it was originally in Anchorage, Alaska then in Idaho. It doesn't show any accident history. It has 162,892 miles. A good driving truck being a stock Jimmy so you get a nice ride and steers good. I have drove around 10 miles and drives great.”
