This F-150 spent its life in the southern United States and is described as a rust-free truck. It has recently been through the seller's inspection process, during which lighting repairs were completed along with a rear brake repair. The repaint presents above average with a few minor scratches and chips consistent with normal use, and the bed liner shows some peeling in the cargo box. According to the seller, the truck runs and drives great, tracks straight down the road, and is free of rattles or clunks. Located in Brookings, South Dakota.

🧠 Did you know?
The 1977 Ford F-150 4x4 Short Box was part of Ford’s already established F-150 lineup, which was originally introduced for the 1975 model year to bridge the gap between the F-100 and F-250. It offered increased payload capacity and a higher GVWR (generally over 6,000 lb) that helped it avoid some of the stricter emissions regulations applied to lighter trucks. While 1977 was not the debut year for the F-150, it remains one of the most historically significant model years for Ford pickups—the year the F-Series became America’s best-selling truck line. Built on Ford’s rugged sixth-generation (1973–1979) F-Series platform, the F-150 was available with a range of dependable engines, including the 300-cid inline-six, 302 V8, the popular 351M and 400 V8s, and the 460 in some applications. It could be paired with a four-speed manual or automatic transmission. Combined with a durable part-time (or available full-time) four-wheel-drive system, the desirable short-box configuration, and classic “dentside” styling, the 1977 F-150 established itself as a favorite among truck buyers. Today, these F-150 4x4 short-box models are especially sought after for their blend of capability, collectibility, and unmistakable 1970s Ford character.
