Vehicle History

This 1970 Dodge Charger 500 is a remarkably original Mopar SURVIVOR with just 14,927 documented actual miles. Finished in Light Green Metallic with a Green vinyl roof and matching Green interior, this Charger retains its factory 318ci V8, A904 TorqueFlite Automatic transmission, 8¼-inch rear end and factory air conditioning. The original build sheet, fender tag, door sticker and dash VIN plate remain with the car, providing documentation of how it was equipped when it left the factory. Magnum 500 wheels complete the period look, while the largely unrestored condition gives this Charger the character of a car that has simply been preserved.

Maintenance & Vehicle History
This Charger is described as an unrestored survivor with 14,927.9 original miles. The car is believed to have had three owners, although the ownership history is not fully documented. The original build sheet, Ziebart receipt, fender tag, door sticker and dash VIN plate are included, with additional numbers documented in photographs. The fender tag also documents the factory air conditioning. The engine is reported to feel strong, the brakes work well and the car has very little rattle or noise over rough pavement. The A/C blows cold, the gauges and interior lights are reported to work, and the headlights, signals and other lighting functions operate properly. The original-style key buzzer is also reported to work. BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires and an AM/FM/Cassette stereo have been added during the car's life. This Charger 500 retains the combination that makes an original survivor so interesting: factory documentation, extremely low documented mileage and a largely untouched presentation. The triple-Green color scheme, bucket-seat interior, Magnum 500 wheels and factory A/C give it plenty of period character, while the relatively minor additions could be addressed by a new owner seeking a more factory-correct presentation. This Mopar muscle is located in Palmetto, Florida.

❤️ From the Seller
“Absolutely awesome 1970 triple green Dodge Charger 500. This one has a 318 automatic transmission. 14,927.9 original miles. Believed to be I think it's a threeowner car. I mean, this thing is just like new condition. It's crazy. Engine feels strong. Brakes work well. Very little rattle noise over the tracks. I mean, other than the BFGs and some wear parts of course and 1985 stereo, this car is all original, unrestored. All the gauges are working. AC blows cold. Got a nice mellow exhaust tune. I mean, the thing is it's crazy clean. And the clock's working. Just an absolutely awesome car. Light check here. Headlights. The signals are working. Head lamps perfect the way they are. Switch to electric. All the interior lights work. Even has the key buzzer still working on this car.”
“MOPAR MUSCLE with 14,927 documented actual miles in remarkable survivor condition! Just as the fender tag shows, this Light Green Metallic Charger rides in style with a green full vinyl roof and a green interior with bucket seats and center console! The G-code 318 CID V8 still resides under the hood and moves this big bodied beauty down the road. That engine is backed by the 904 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic and 8 ¼ rear end! Under the hood you will see factory A/C (also documented by the fender tag). This 1970 Dodge Charger 500 is clean, solid, and about as original as they come with its Magnum 500 wheels finishing off the look! This classic Mopar muscle car comes with the original build sheet, Ziebart receipt, and numbers documented in photos. Original dash VIN plate, door sticker, and fender tag are in place so there are no questions about how this car left the factory. BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires have been added for an improved ride quality and an AM/FM/Cassette was added at some point in the cars life. But with very little time and money this car could be put back to 100% factory correct if that's your end goal.”

🧠 Did you know?
The 1970 Dodge Charger 500 was the second and final year to carry the Charger 500 name, but unlike the legendary 1969 version, it was no longer a NASCAR homologation special. Instead, Dodge transformed the 500 into an upgraded Charger package that included bucket seats, an electric clock, wheel-lip moldings, and distinctive 500 identification on the grille and rear finish panel. The 1970 Charger 500 was available with several engines, including the 318 and 383 V8s. Production totaled 27,461 Charger 500s, making the 1970 model far more common than the limited-production 1969 Charger 500. The 1970 Charger also received its own styling changes, including the distinctive full-width loop front bumper that separated it visually from the 1969 model.
