Vehicle History

This 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has the right ingredients for a fun, old-school V8 cruiser: a mild-built 350ci small-block, 4-speed manual transmission and four-wheel disc brakes. Badged as an SS TRIBUTE rather than a genuine SS, this Malibu combines a clean Silver exterior with a Red interior and a straightforward performance-oriented setup. The engine bay is nicely finished with aluminum heads, an aluminum intake, Edelbrock carburetor, headers and an aluminum radiator, while Foose 10-spoke wheels give the car a distinctive look. It is not presented as perfect, but it is described as a very clean, solid and enjoyable driver.

Maintenance & Vehicle History
This Malibu has 2,909 miles shown on the odometer. This classic is described as very clean and very solid underneath, although it is not perfect. There are a couple of small bubbles in the body and a few scratches on the hood. The previous steering column was replaced with a brand-new Flaming River tilt steering column, and the car is equipped with a comfort-grip steering wheel. The Red interior has received new seat covers, carpeting, dash pad, package tray and sail panels. The headliner is described as very nice overall but has a few small holes from items previously stored against it. The door panels, armrests, handles and window cranks are all described as being in nice condition. The engine has good oil pressure, the brakes work very well, and the car was driven on the road during the inspection. The seller reports that it handles well, accelerates strongly and stops extremely well. The radio, windshield wipers and blower motor are reported to work. The trunk is finished nicely, and the chrome bumpers, stainless trim, window trim, mirrors, door handles and glass are all described as being in good condition.
The seller makes clear that this is an SS tribute, not a factory SS. With its 350 V8, 4-speed manual, four-wheel disc brakes, clean Red interior and distinctive Foose wheels, it is set up as a straightforward driver rather than a concours restoration. It is a solid, usable Chevelle with some minor cosmetic flaws that can be addressed over time. This old-school American muscle is located in

❤️ From the Seller
“1964 Chevrolet Chevel Malibu. This car is badged an SS. It is an SS tribute. Got a mild built small block. 350 under the hood. Aluminum heads. Aluminum intake. Edelrock carburetor. Very nice clean engine compartment. Aluminum radiator. Got some headers on it. Power brakes. Got disc brakes on the front and rear. They're four-wheel disc brakes. Nice set of Foose uh 10-spoke wheels. They look great on this car. Usually I hate Foose wheels, but I really kind of like those wheels. The car is very, very clean. Um is it perfect? No. Very, very respectable though. Beautiful red interior, new seat covers, um new carpeting, new dash pad, package tray, sail panels. Headliner is very nice except for it has a few holes in it right here because the people who own the car previously were storing Christmas presents in here and they poked holes in there with the presents. So that's what happened to the headliner. Door panels are very nice. Nice armrest, door handles, window cranks all look very nice. Has seat belts front and back. So you can take your kids to the candy store, ice cream shop. Just a nice clean looking little car. Has a couple small little bubbles right here. Nothing to get too concerned about. Car is very, very solid underneath. I'll show you on the hood. It's got a couple small scratches on the hood that I'm going to point out to you as well.  So, that's the scenario. See, it's got a little spot right here, and it's got a couple scratches right here. So, buy the car, take it home, touch it up, clean it up, do what you want with it. And the seats are very, very comfortable as well. Show you the inside of the trunk quick and I'll start it up. Inside of the trunk's done up really nice. We just put a new Flaming River tilt steering column in this car. When we got the car, the steering column was just junk. Well, I didn't like it anyway, good oil pressure, and the brakes work excellent on this car. When you whoever buys this car, take it out and drive it and step on the brakes once real easy and then you'll get used to how they work because they'll about put you right through the windshield. All right, let's take it out for a spin. I'll do that. I'll come back. I'll put it on the hoist. Take some underccarriage pictures. Wipers work as well. Blower motor works. Sounds like there may or may not be a baseball card stuck in a spoke there on the blower motor. I'll tell you what though, this is a damn nice looking car for the price. I bought the car right so I can sell it right. Somebody's really going to get a great car for that price. 80 mph. Better slow down. This car really holds. Got a comfort grip steering wheel on it. Say a brand new tilt flaming river column. Just a great looking car. I mean, is it perfect? No. But it's very, very nice. Radio works. Pretty darn good looking car, isn't it? Chrome bumpers are in nice shape. Stainless trim. Bright work looks nice as well. Trim around all the windows. The mirrors are in good shape. The door handles are in good shape. The glass seems to be in good shape. See any chips or breaks on the windshield or anything either? No. It's fun to drive. It goes pretty fast and it stops great. Goes fast and stops better. I should say that.”

🧠 Did you know?
The 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu was part of Chevrolet’s all-new intermediate Chevelle line, which filled the gap between the compact Chevy II and full-size Chevrolet models. The Malibu was the top trim series in the 1964 Chevelle lineup and was offered in several body styles, including the popular 2-door hardtop and convertible. Engine choices ranged from the 194- and 230-cubic-inch inline-six to the optional 283-cubic-inch V8, while the high-performance 327 V8 became available later in the model year. The Chevelle’s intermediate size, rear-wheel drive, and available V8 power helped make it one of Chevrolet’s most successful new models of the 1960s and provided the foundation for the later Chevelle SS performance cars.
