❤️ From the Seller
“This specific vehicle benefits from a complete, photo-documented restoration where every component was addressed to return the car to brilliant standards. The extensive binder of restoration photos captures the craftsmanship involved, providing complete transparency and peace of mind for the next collector. At the heart of this is the famed 2,912cc C-Series inline 6-cylinder engine fed by twin SU carburetors, delivering plenty of low-end torque and an iconic exhaust note. Power is managed through a tactile 4-speed manual gearbox fitted with electronic overdrive, allowing for relaxed highway cruising alongside spirited back-road acceleration. Front disc brakes ensure reliable, modern stopping performance. Inside the cabin, classic Smiths gauges set the tone alongside period-correct upholstery, detailed trim, and a comfortable 2+2 interior layout.”

🧠 Did you know?
The Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III (BJ8) was the final and most refined “Big Healey.” It used the 2,912 cc C-series inline-six with a revised camshaft and twin 2-inch SU HD8 carburetors, rated at about 148–150 hp, paired with a four-speed manual (overdrive optional). It was offered only as a 2+2 convertible with roll-up windows, a folding top, walnut-veneer dashboard, center console, and servo-assisted front disc brakes. Early “Phase I” cars (late 1963 into mid-1964) had the original rear chassis and smaller lights; from May 1964 the Phase II gained extra ground clearance, revised rear suspension (radius arms instead of a Panhard rod), and later larger separate indicators. Total Mk III production was 17,712 cars, the great majority exported to North America. Series production ended in December 1967.
