🧠 Did you know?
The 1957 Willys 1-Ton Pickup was a heavy-duty member of Willys’ postwar Jeep truck line, built with four-wheel drive and a 118-inch wheelbase. For 1957, the 1-ton pickup used the 226-cubic-inch Super Hurricane L-head inline-six, rated at approximately 115 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque, backed by a three-speed manual transmission. The 226 was the standard six-cylinder engine in these trucks, while the F-head six was not offered in the 1957 Willys pickup. The truck’s rugged chassis, low gearing, and four-wheel-drive system made it a serious working vehicle, while its simple styling reflected the utilitarian character of Willys commercial trucks of the period.
