🧠 Did You Know?
The 1966 Buick Riviera combined bold styling with luxury and performance, featuring the debut of hidden headlights concealed behind clamshell doors—an iconic design element that became a Riviera hallmark. This model year was also the last to offer Buick’s legendary 425 cubic inch “Nailhead” V8 engine, which produced up to 340 horsepower in standard form, or 360 horsepower with the optional dual-carburetor Super Wildcat setup. With its distinctive “coke-bottle” shape and upscale features, the ’66 Riviera stood out as a stylish and powerful personal luxury coupe.
