🧠 Did you know?
The 1959 Chevrolet 3100 Apache marked the final year of Chevrolet's iconic Task Force series (introduced in 1955), earning its "Apache" nameplate starting in 1958 with bold fender badges and distinctive quad headlights that gave these trucks a muscular, modern look for the era. As a half-ton (1/2-ton) pickup, the 3100 series featured a wraparound windshield for improved visibility, a choice of the reliable 235 cubic-inch inline-six (often called the "Stovebolt") or the potent small-block 283 cubic-inch V8 delivering up to around 230 horsepower in top tunes, paired with options like a 3-speed manual, 4-speed manual, or Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. These trucks blended rugged work capability with stylish details—like optional two-tone paint, chrome accents, and stepside or fleetside beds—making them favorites among farmers, tradespeople, and hot-rodders alike, while their timeless design has kept them highly sought-after in the classic truck world today.
