The 1954 Chrysler Crown Imperial was the pinnacle of luxury in Chrysler’s lineup—a grand, imposing sedan that exuded prestige and power. Built on a stretched 145.5-inch wheelbase, it offered limousine-level rear legroom and was often chauffeur-driven. Power came from Chrysler’s 331ci HEMI V8, delivering smooth performance through the advanced PowerFlite automatic transmission. Inside, passengers were treated to upscale materials, broad bench seating, and a dashboard styled with aircraft-inspired flair. Reserved for the elite, in 1954, Chrysler produced 23 Crown Imperial long wheelbase sedans and 77 limousines. These were the only two body styles offered for the Crown Imperial that year.
