Maintenance & Vehicle History
This 1932 Ford Phaeton is described as a rebuilt Hot Rod from the bottom to the top. It features a strong running engine sourced from a '75 chevy truck that has been warmed over with an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, as well as a set of shorty tubular exhaust manifolds to bump power up to an estimated 220-240. It has had recent maintenance and is noted to run as good as it looks, with a smooth idle and strong road performance. This Hot Rod is presented as a well-finished driver ready for cruising and is located in Homer Glen, IL.
🧠Did you know?
In 1932, the Ford Phaeton was offered as an open four-door touring car that captured the spirit of open-air driving during the early years of the Great Depression. A lesser-known detail is that, despite the introduction of the celebrated flathead V8 that year, a notable portion of Phaetons were equipped with the upgraded four-cylinder Model B engine. Early examples also featured a subtle but effective engine stabilizer—a friction damper mounted to the firewall—that helped reduce vibrations in the four-cylinder models. With only a few thousand produced, these Phaetons became relatively rare, offering drivers a distinctive sense of freedom and unfiltered connection to the road that closed-body cars could not match.
